HAIM (rhymes with time and pronounced hyam or high-am or something like that) is a Californian indie/folk/pop/rock/r&b band composed of three sisters: Este, Danielle and Alana, and their drummer, Dash Hutton.
First off, let me just claim my undying love for these girls who seem to exude uber-coolness every time they take a breath. No, I am not fangirling madly here - just having major heart palpitations! And a desire to become the fourth member of Haim and be adopted into their family (whist ignoring the fact that I have zilch musical talent).
Anyway - enough, fangirling Hannah - not only is their music supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (why is that word not in the dictionary?) but their style seems to be right out of an Urban Outfitters ad - that's a good thing, by the way! I don't even know how to explain it without dropping in the 3Cs; cool, Cali-style and care-free. It makes me want to drop everything, hop on a plane to Palm Beach and frolic around in the sea and sand.
I'd say Este is more daring, Alana would probably wear shorts at minus 5 and Danielle needs a time machine to travel back to the early 80s. And that's just what they wear when they're performing.
And if you still don't love them as much as I do - click here to listen to their set at the iTunes Festival in March this year. They are incredible live!
But I'll let the pictures do the talking, just be warned - next year, I am going to be the next Haim sister. Or just dress like one.
What do you think? To be or not to be a Haim sister? That is the question!
