How To: Brown Smoky Cat Eye

Jemma Kidd Essentials Palette: Dark Brown, Mocha, Taupe & Cream eyeshadows.
Rimmel GlamEyes Liquid Eyeliner
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
Rimmel GlamEyes Lash Flirt Mascara

Instead of clearing my room, I decided to experiment and create a smokey eye look. I also wanted to try and perfect my cat eye because whenever I'm in a hurry, my hand always ends up shaking and black eyeliner goes everywhere! So I'll just remind you that I'm not a make-up artist of any sort, this is just me 'experimenting'.

Here's how I created it, using the make-up listed, above:
#1 I created this look with an Elite eyeshadow brush by blending the Dark Brown eyeshadow all over my lid.
#2 I put the glittery Mocha eyeshadow on the crease and inside of my eye, to try and make them look larger.
#3 I patted Taupe in the outer corner of my eye, extending it further out.
#4 Then I lightly added Cream up to the top of my brow bone and blended them in.
#5 I used the Rimmel Eyeliner, which has a thin nib that's great for creating a precise cat eye. However it takes a long time to dry and can easily smudge if you're not careful.
#6 I curled my lashes using the No. 7 Eyelash Curler and added mascara.

The only thing that I would improve is to extend the eyeshadow to the end of the cat eye. As well as the dodgy lighting in my room which makes everything look orange. I also need to stop being lazy as I've been wandering around the house with one eye all made up and no where to go.. I'm so normal.

I hope you've all being having fun in the snow, or hibernating next to the fire with a mug of hot chocolate. I have been doing both, and I have taken lots of photos on the 'posh camera' so I will hopefully upload them tomorrow if I have a snow day!

    1. Ah, thank you! It's annoying because when I do manage to do a cat eye (without poking myself in the eye - the most painful thing ever!) I can never do the other eye as well as the first. I guess I need to practise more...
